After a 3-0 sweep of Sri Lanka in the ODIs, the Pakistan cricket team turns its attention to the tri-nation series on home soil, with Zimbabwe their first challengers today at the Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium.
With just over two months left before the T20 World Cup, this tournament carries weight, questions, and opportunities for all three teams involved.
The home side enters the contest on the back of decent figures in T20Is this year. Salman Ali Agha’s team has won 17 matches, losing 12 in the process, and will be confident of improving these numbers during the upcoming tri-nation series. They also boast a historically excellent record against Zimbabwe, winning 18 out of 21 encounters.
Zimbabwe, meanwhile, comes into this three-team tournament on the back of a shaky 2025. They have won nine matches out of 21 total contests, but their most impressive victories came during the Africa Qualifier for the 2026 World Cup. Sikandar Raza’s team, however, will be confident of causing an upset after splitting their recent matches with Pakistan 2-2.
All the matches of the tri-nation series will be available on PTV Sports for traditional cable enthusiasts while the fans who prefer streaming can tune in through PCB’s own YouTube channel.
