Local Holiday Announced in Sindh District

The Ghotki district administration has declared Wednesday, November 19, 2025, a local holiday in connection with the 65th Annual Urs of Sufi Faqeer Syed Anwar Ali Shah Bukhari Sarwari al Qadiri.

According to an official circular issued by Deputy Commissioner Manzoor Ahmed Kanrani, all offices and institutions in the district will remain closed, except for essential services.

The deputy commissioner exercised his administrative authority to approve the holiday in honor of the annual Urs, which draws large numbers of devotees from across the region.

The notification has been forwarded to key provincial and district offices, including:

• The Chief Secretary, Government of Sindh
• The District and Sessions Judge, Ghotki
• The Commissioner, Sukkur Division
• The Senior Superintendent of Police, Ghotki
• The Regional Director Information, Sukkur
• FM 91 Ghotki for public announcements
• The Director of Private Schools, Sukkur

The administration directed officials to ensure the information is widely publicized so residents are aware of the holiday.
