The Balochistan Home Department has imposed a province-wide ban on several activities under Section 144 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, enforcing immediate restrictions on security grounds.
According to the official order, authorities have prohibited the display or use of weapons, pillion riding on motorcycles except for women and children, tinted glasses on vehicles, unregistered motorcycles, and public gatherings of five or more people, including rallies, sit-ins and processions.
The government has also banned covering faces in public places through masks, mufflers or any means that obstruct identification, along with the movement of sulphuric acid and explosive materials across the province.
The Home Department directed police, Levies and Frontier Corps personnel to ensure strict enforcement of the restrictions. Violators will be dealt with under Section 188 of the Pakistan Penal Code and other relevant laws.
The order also instructs deputy commissioners to submit daily enforcement reports to the Home Department. The restrictions will remain in effect across Balochistan until the end of November.
