The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has switched to a fully digital system for issuing attendance notices in an effort to stop the spread of fake or forged documents.
According to a public advisory, the agency will no longer issue manually signed notices.
All notices issued under Section 160 of the Code of Criminal Procedure will now come only through FIA’s electronic system and will carry a unique QR code that can be verified instantly.
The FIA has urged citizens to treat any notice received in another format as suspicious and to report it immediately at complaints@fia.gov.pk. Officials said the new system is designed to enhance authenticity, transparency and public trust in official communication.
