Lahore to Deploy Rented Heavy Machinery for Garbage Collection

Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) has issued a framework contract for the rental of heavy machinery to support its operations and landfill sites.

Under the agreement, 10 excavators, 36 tractor trolleys, and 18 dumpers will be rented. The estimated annual rental costs are PKR 653 million for excavators, PKR 723 million for tractor trolleys, and PKR 1.02 billion for dumpers.

The LWMC team will conduct physical and mechanical inspections of the machinery. Contractors are required to provide excavators and dumpers for 10 hours daily, delivered at Allied Points by 8 a.m., with annual usage capped at 1,200 hours.

The contractor will also supply drivers and fuel. The machinery will be used for waste collection, de-silting, construction debris removal, and disposal of animal carcasses. While the contractor may reassign machinery locations at their discretion, final approval lies with LWMC’s operational team.
