KP Issues New Winter Guidelines for Schools

The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Education Department has issued new winter guidelines for students across the province, allowing them to wear sweaters and gloves of any color during the cold season.

Officials said the decision is meant to help students stay warm without being restricted by uniform color requirements.

The Directorate of Education notified all schools and educational institutions to implement the updated winter attire policy immediately. The department stated that the move aims to provide comfort and flexibility as temperatures continue to drop across the province.

Meanwhile, in Balochistan, the government has already announced an extended winter break for schools in colder regions. Classes will close on December 16 and remain suspended for two and a half months due to severe weather conditions.

Schools in these areas are scheduled to reopen on March 1 once temperatures begin to rise again.
