Ghandhara Industries Limited (PSX: GHNI) has entered a strategic partnership with China’s Zhongtong Bus Holding Co., marking a major expansion of Pakistan’s bus manufacturing landscape.
The agreement paves the way for the introduction, distribution and eventual local assembly of Zhongtong luxury buses in the country, a filing revealed at PSX.
The company has formally signed a collaboration agreement with Zhongtong to bring the brand’s high-end buses to Pakistan. As part of the plan, Ghandhara will establish a dedicated manufacturing line for the assembly of Zhongtong buses, separate from its existing bus body fabrication facility. The expansion aims to support full local assembly and manufacturing operations.
According to the company, Completely Built-Up luxury buses will be launched in Pakistan in the first quarter of 2026. Local assembly is expected to begin by mid-2026 following regulatory approvals and completion of plant expansion.
Ghandhara said the partnership marks a significant milestone in diversifying its product lineup and is expected to strengthen the company’s long-term growth.
