The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has issued a winter schedule that will leave domestic consumers in Sindh without gas each night from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m., citing a severe shortfall in supply.
The utility said the decision comes as part of its seasonal adjustment plan to manage limited resources more effectively. A spokesperson for the company explained that the revised timetable follows the load management framework approved by the Economic Coordination Committee (ECC).
She noted that the company had not originally planned load-shedding for residential users in Sindh or Balochistan. However, she said the steep decline in available gas has made a nighttime cut unavoidable, as the shutdown is needed to rebuild line-pack levels for the next day’s domestic demand.
According to the spokesperson, the shortage will also hit the CNG sector, which will undergo periodic weekly closures as part of the broader conservation effort.

In my area Gulshan I Iqbal Block4 Karachi gas is not available more than 12 hours a day and gas pressure too low one cannot operate geyser and oven together

😲 how is it possible because in my area Rashid minhas road Gas comes according to its own mood 😞When it feels like it, and on Saturdays or Sundays it has a holiday. It comes after 8 and leaves before 10. It only feels like staying for 1 hour, otherwise it doesn’t come at all. And even if it does come, they steal it by little and pull it away too.
No gas indictating big failure of this stupid and selfish government, they are enjoying their lives and pushing poor people to the corner, getting extensions, passing bills for their own benefits, none of the politicians and army generals thinking betterment of Pakistan or its people, may Allah destroy all of them to get rid of all corrupts. In Gulshan e Iqbal block 1 there is already no gas after 10 pm.
ہمارے ایریا چاندنی چوک ,ناظم آباد میں گیس پریشر صبح 6:00 بجے سے 11:55 دوپہر تک عمدہ آتا ہے لیکن اس کے بعد شام 5:30سے رات 9:45 تک کچھ بہتر پریشر مل جاتا ہے لیکن اصل وقت 12:00 بجے دوپہر سے 5:25 شام کو انتہائی دھیمی آنچ کے ساتھ گیس آتی ہے جس پر کھانا بنانا عزاب ہوتا ہے روٹی تو بلکل بھی نہیں بن سکتی ,گیس سیلنڈر افورڈ نہیں کر سکتے جو گیس آتی ہے اسی پر اکتفا کرنا ہماری مجبوری ہے جبکہ اصل گیس کے استعمال کا بل کم ہے اور اس پر کئی گنا چارجز عائد کر دئے ہیں جو ہماری جیب پر بوجھ ہے
