The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) will establish a new mega centre in Karachi’s Malir district to help reduce the pressure on existing facilities and improve service delivery.
The project was formally launched after an MoU was signed between NADRA and the Model Colony Town Municipal Corporation (TMC) for a half-acre site allocated for the new centre.
During the signing ceremony, Model Town Chairman Zafar Ahmed Khan said the land has been approved, and the mega centre is expected to be completed within eight months.
It will offer key services such as CNIC issuance, B-Form processing, arms licences, and other essential registration needs for residents.
NADRA Regional Head Office Director General Aamir Ali Khan said the new centre will be the organisation’s sixth major facility in Karachi and is expected to be fully operational within a year.
He noted that advanced digital systems have improved service delivery but also increased cybercrime risks. He assured that NADRA has strong security measures in place to safeguard sensitive data.
