PIA Aircraft Carrying Minister Lands Safely After Mid-Flight Issue

Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) flight carrying Sindh Local Bodies Minister Nasir Shah narrowly avoided a serious incident after developing a technical fault shortly after takeoff on Friday.

The PIA flight PK-536 had departed from Karachi for Sukkur when the crew detected a fault nearly 17 minutes into the journey.

According to airline officials, the pilot immediately alerted air traffic control and decided to return to Karachi as a precaution.

Sindh Local Government Minister Nasir Shah, Sukkur Mayor Arsalan Sheikh, and other passengers were on board at the time.

PIA officials said that passengers were informed about the issue without dela,y and the flight was later cancelled. Minister Nasir Shah, who was expected to attend an event in Sukkur, returned to Karachi after the cancellation.

In a separate incident earlier, a PIA flight travelling from Dubai to Islamabad reported the tragic death of a passenger due to cardiac arrest.

According to the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA), the passenger, identified as Malik Jahanzaib, experienced a stroke caused by a heart attack while onboard PIA flight PK-222.

Officials said he was a resident of Abbottabad, and his body has been handed over to his family.
