Russia has reportedly suspended Pakistan Post’s services after the Pakistani department failed to clear outstanding payments amounting to Rs. 55 million. The restriction took effect in August 2025.
Federal Minister for Communications Abdul Aleem Khan submitted a written response in the National Assembly confirming the development. He stated that Pakistan Post did not pay the required dues, which have remained unsettled since 2021.
The written reply also noted that Pakistan Post owes more than Rs. 310 million in total as of November 12, 2021. The ministry said it will clear the outstanding amount once the Finance Division releases the necessary funds.
