Punjab Sets Up Fast-Track Cell to Speed Up GP Fund Payments for Retired Employees

The Punjab government has established a Fast-Track Cell at the Accountant General, Punjab, office to ensure the timely release of GP Fund payments to retired employees.

Additional Chief Secretary Ahmed Raza Sarwar inaugurated the dedicated cell during a ceremony attended by AG Punjab Naumana Gul Rukh, senior officers, and employees retiring in 2025.

Speaking at the event, Sarwar said the fast-track facility aims to simplify procedures for retiring employees and eliminate unnecessary delays.

AG Punjab Naumana Gul Rukh stated that the new system will enhance transparency by automatically updating employees’ annual data. She said retirees will now be able to submit their files and receive their GP Fund without hassle.

She added that her office remains open to assist any employee who is having difficulty accessing their GP Fund. During the event, sheets were distributed to recently retired employees from various departments.
