  • The price in china is 2 million pkr. The price in pakistan is 200% higher

Meaning pakistan govt charges 200% tariffs which are higher then usa, uk, eu, Canada combined despite sharing border with china

      • If government allow low price then who will buy petrol /diesel and petrol demands drops then how government can collect direct tax . Beside the fact after use of 5 years , car depreciation would be 50% , then why to waste money on that . 6 million will go waste once you resell it.

        • We are not Saudi Arabia . Do you know that Pakistan imports billions of dollars fuel from abroad every month ? Government will have surplus money if import of fuel is reduced

  • Hi everyone.
Taxes and duties worked out on small EV constitute roughly less than 40% ( 25% Customs duty, 1% sales tax and max 12 % income tax)
It’s hugely overpriced because it’s EV car race in Pakistan.

  • Who will buy this junk for PKR 6 million, which has got neither a past nor a future? For the EVs to succeed in Pakistan, these have to be affordable and reliable with convenient charging facilities as well as good after sales service. And we should not forget that despite daily dramas by our present leaders, our economy remains in the read and purchasing power of an average Pakistani pathetic.

  • I am not sure if our government is charging hefty tax on the vehicles or the importer/assembler is making hefty profit.

  • Main objective of Evs is to reduce pollution along with personel and states economy of fuel. This price ruins the objectives which can only be achived by keeping the total price below 4 billions so that more cars are sold and govt earns more tax.

  • Price needs to be reconsidered by MG seeing the other brand of EV available in the market. Its price should be around 5.5 million

  • Its pathetic. who ll spend 60 lakhs for this EV. I mean no resale value and no future or present. Give me break. its again addition to the fancy cars for the higher echelons and nothing for the low income or even fot the middle class. It ll be a total flop. Good luck MG

  • Price is too high and seems unrealistic. The price tells us that you save money on fuel and pay premium upfront.
What would be it’s resale value?
What would be the maintenance cost?
Has the company calculated the cost of charging? How many units of electricity will be used in a charge?
Since it’s a new launch the price must have been reasonable and with in the reach of the target customers.

  • Some spurious car brands are being introduced simply for fleecing people crazy of buying electric cars at very high prices, in the hope of saving running costs, without any practical experience of the real operating costs. He
