A gang involved in the sex trafficking of young Pakistani girls to Dubai has been busted, ARY News reported.
The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Immigration uncovered the network during an operation at Karachi airport.
Officials said the group sent girls to Dubai under the pretext of hotel jobs but forced them into prostitution.
According to FIA officials, a young woman traveling on a visit visa for alleged hotel employment made critical disclosures about the gang. Acting on her identification, authorities arrested a human smuggler named Shahzaib.
Investigators said Shahzaib arranged visas and air tickets using money received from another smuggler, identified as Nadeem. The total amount involved was Rs. 420,000. Out of this sum, Rs. 40,000 was paid to an agent at the airport to facilitate clearance.
The FIA spokesperson added that evidence of contact with other individuals linked to prostitution was also recovered from WhatsApp conversations.
Authorities have shifted the victim to the Anti-Human Trafficking Circle for further proceedings. Meanwhile, Shahzaib remains in custody as investigators continue to probe the network and identify other suspects.
