The Capital Development Authority has completed the main construction work of the T-Chowk Flyover well ahead of schedule, finishing the project in just 90 days, nearly two months before its original deadline.
The 1.1-kilometer flyover, built at a cost of Rs. 1.4 billion, stands at the intersection of GT Road and Islamabad Expressway and aims to ease traffic coming from the Lahore side. Under the approved PC-I, authorities had set February 19 as the completion date, but the CDA and the construction firm finished the core structure significantly earlier.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif laid the foundation stone of the project on September 12. CDA officials confirmed that the flyover is structurally complete and ready for inauguration, with only minor finishing work still under way.
The authority increased the project cost by up to 15 percent after adding an extra lane at grade level and constructing additional U-turns to improve traffic flow. Officials stated that procurement rules allow such an increase in scope during ongoing projects when required to facilitate motorists.
Meanwhile, work on the Shaheen Chowk underpass continues at a rapid pace. The underpass, located at the junction of Ninth Avenue and Khayaban-i-Iqbal, also recorded a 15 percent cost increase and is now nearing completion, well ahead of its original April deadline.

Pakistan Zindabaad Pakistan Army Paindabaad. United we stand divided we fall. We must focus on computerisation and digital smart working to facilitate general public. Literally everything like licences, NOCs, Registrations, Passports, NADRA requirements must be online. The present online system is a hoax. They claim everything is online but you have to visit and waste your precious time by uselessly visiting literally all these offices that claim a one window online operation. So government must look into it and create literally a true online system. Regards

Root cause of all the issues and chaotic situation in Pakistan is actually the one and only, we all know. Since the inception of this country.
You could be a great story writer
I believe CDA, engineering firms/contractor and consultant were all domestic no foreign support in construction of flyovers and underpasses in Punjab province. Can they help in providing support and expertise to Sindh province struggling to complete such projects in 20 times more time then what we witness in province of Punjab. One underpass in Karachi in a high traffic zone in liaquatabad neighborhood is yet to be completed after more than 3 years. Not only cost escalation but misery to users especially the neighborhood. Can federal government may ask the province about the inordinate delay. Is 18 amendment let them let loose to inflict suffering to Pakistan nationals and residents of Karachi a two port city serving the nation.
In Karachi under pass r waiting for complete in time from 4 years they are daily lie to Awam but Notting done only loot Mar from All Sindh Where is top leadership
Kash Karachi ko bhi Pakistan ka Hissa Samajhtey.
Fantastic HRL construction company.
I hope it will stand for two months 🙏
1.4 Billion for 1.1 Km Construction that seems like a huge corruption and kick backs…
Whenever the N league is in power supported by Army and establishment they build the roads because 50% goes into their foreign accounts.
Look all around in Islamabad and Rawalpindi many construction projects are underway just to make money.
The tax money of the poor Pakistanis are looted in such a way that no one can raise question..
Build the same flyover in KP and then tell us the construction costs. Remember metro bus project of KP that exceeded the budget and timeline compared to Punjab and PTI remained silent on it.
Very encouraging, great initiative, this is reply from Current government to Imran Khan’s government, this is called leadership and service. IK’s claim that they will rule with transparency and bribe free Pakistan, was bulshit!
