Cases to Be Registered Over Fake Vehicle Fitness Certificates in Sindh

The Sindh Transport Department has launched action against vehicles using fake fitness certificates to improve road safety.

Senior Minister Sharjeel Memon ordered authorities to register cases against those using counterfeit fitness certificates and directed the Provincial Transport Authority secretary to submit a detailed report within three days.

He also ordered the cancellation of route permits for vehicles involved in the practice. Memon said some transporters obtain fake fitness certificates to avoid mandatory physical inspections of their vehicles.

He said the use of counterfeit fitness certificates violates the law and poses a serious threat to public safety. The minister said authorities will not allow anyone to compromise the safety of citizens and described the use of fake fitness certificates as a grave offense.

Sharjeel Memon said the government remains committed to making the transport system safe, transparent, and fully compliant with the law. He said authorities will take strict action against anyone found involved in the illegal practice without exception.
