Sindh Police have introduced a province wide online system to register tenant information as part of an ongoing digitization drive within the department, officials said.
The new platform, titled Tenant Registration for Urban Security and Tracking, is available on the official Sindh Police website. The system allows property owners to submit tenant details electronically without visiting a police station.
Under the Rent Act, landlords must share tenant information with the local police. Previously, landlords had to complete the process in person, but the online portal now enables them to fulfill the legal requirement from home.
Officials said the system operates under the relevant residential laws and helps authorities maintain accurate and verified tenant records. The online process also reduces paperwork and saves time for both citizens and police staff.
Sindh Police said the initiative forms part of a broader effort to modernize administrative procedures through digital tools. Authorities have advised landlords and property owners to use the online platform to ensure compliance with tenant registration laws.
