OnePlus has shared more details about its upcoming Turbo smartphone lineup, its upcoming gaming-focused series. New details confirm that the OnePlus Turbo will have the biggest battery on a OnePlus phone yet.
Li Jie, President of OnePlus China, confirmed that the Turbo phones would carry the performance traits of OnePlus flagships while delivering the strongest battery life in their segment.
Li has now clarified what that means in practical terms. According to him, the first OnePlus Turbo device will feature the largest battery ever used in a OnePlus smartphone. This confirms it will surpass the 8,300 mAh battery found in the OnePlus Ace 6T, which currently holds that record within the brand’s portfolio.
Additionally, the OnePlus 15 is known to be the battery king of 2025, meaning we can have great expectations from the OnePlus Turbo in terms of battery life.
A well-known leaker on Weibo claims the Turbo phone will pack a 9,000 mAh battery and launch in China in January. The same source suggests the device will use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 processor, matching the chipset used in the Ace 6T and the internationally available OnePlus 15R.
Another leaker added that the Turbo series will initially include two models. Both are expected to feature 9,000 mAh batteries, 165Hz refresh rate displays, and Snapdragon 8 series chipsets.
While OnePlus has not shared full specifications or pricing details, current information points to a China launch in January. It may launch in the global market with a different name, if it reaches the global market at all.
