Traffic Advisory Issued for Tourists Visiting Murree

Amid continuing snowfall in Murree, Chief Traffic Officer (CTO) Imran Razaq has issued a traffic advisory urging tourists to avoid unnecessary travel during severe weather conditions and to check updated weather and traffic information before heading to the hill station.

According to a City Traffic Police Murree spokesperson, snowfall continues in different areas, and traffic police remain fully prepared to assist visitors. Authorities have deployed additional traffic wardens across Murree to manage traffic and facilitate tourists.

The spokesperson said CTO Imran Razaq is personally overseeing traffic operations while remaining in the field to ensure smooth movement and public safety.

Under the advisory, tourists traveling during snowfall should use fully equipped four-wheel-drive vehicles. Motorists should keep fuel tanks full and carry warm clothing. The advisory also urges drivers to avoid over-speeding, maintain proper tire pressure, and refrain from parking in no-parking zones.

Traffic police have strictly instructed motorists not to create double lanes under any circumstances during snowfall. Authorities also advised travelers to follow the directions of on-duty traffic wardens, emphasizing their role in ensuring safety and traffic flow.
