Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif on Tuesday announced that a 42-foot-tall Christmas tree has been installed at Liberty Chowk, Lahore.
The chief minister shared the update in a post on the social media platform X, stating that the Christmas tree has been set up at the busy city intersection. She described the installation as a gesture reflecting love, plurality, and inclusion.
In her post, Maryam Nawaz said the initiative conveys the message that minorities are safe in Punjab and are respected and valued members of society. She added that minorities form an integral part of the province’s social fabric.
