Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz announced a one-month salary bonus for Christian government employees on the occasion of Christmas.
The announcement was made during a Christmas celebration held at Alhamra Arts Council, Lahore, where Provincial Minister for Information and Culture Azma Bukhari attended as the guest of honor.
During the event, gifts were distributed among Christian employees on behalf of the Chief Minister, and participants joined in cutting the Christmas cake.
Maryam Nawaz expressed her solidarity with Christian citizens, saying, “We share equally in the happiness of our Christian brothers and sisters during this festive season. Minorities are very close to the heart of the Chief Minister.”
Azma Bukhari added, “Christian employees are our pride, and their services are commendable. The Punjab government is committed to the protection and welfare of minorities and is utilizing all available resources for their betterment.”
