British-Pakistani Woman Gets 21 Years Jail in Drug Smuggling Case

A British-Pakistani woman has been sentenced to 21 years and six months in prison after National Crime Agency (NCA) officers discovered 85 kilograms of heroin, valued at around £8.5 million, at her home in Bradford.

Sidrah Nosheen, 34, was part of a criminal network smuggling heroin from Pakistan to the United Kingdom and distributing it across the country, according to an NCA statement.

Nosheen was arrested at her property on Woodside Road in Wyke in June 2024. During the raid, investigators found that her back bedroom had been converted into a heroin processing facility.

The NCA revealed that heroin was hidden inside items of clothing, including leather jackets, which had been sent to Nosheen’s address. She would remove the drugs and repackage them into one-kilo deal bags.

Officers seized 85kg of heroin in various bags, along with tools such as a wallpaper pasting table, weighing scales, buckets, and other equipment.

They also found boxes of plastic-wrapped clothing waiting to be opened, as well as remnants of boxes that had already been processed.

Phone evidence revealed hundreds of messages between Nosheen and a Pakistan-based accomplice, discussing the heroin supply to the UK.

Investigators also discovered that Nosheen had distributed multi-kilogram drug shipments within the UK and, in one instance, collected £250,000 from a criminal in Bradford for the organized crime group.

Nosheen initially faced trial at Bradford Crown Court but later changed her plea to guilty, admitting conspiracy to supply and import heroin.

She was sentenced on Tuesday for her role in the smuggling operation.
