Students Invited to Apply for Bhutto STEM Scholarship at Oxford

The Government of Sindh’s College Education Department has invited applications for the Bhutto STEM Scholarship for the academic year 2026–27, to be offered at Lady Margaret Hall, University of Oxford, in collaboration with the Oxford Pakistan Programme.

According to the announcement, the scholarship is open to highly qualified and motivated individuals from Sindh seeking to pursue Master’s, MPhil, and PhD/DPhil degrees, with preference given to candidates from STEM disciplines.

A total of six scholarships will be awarded for the 2026–27 academic year. Of these, three scholarships are reserved for female candidates under the Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Initiative, while three will be awarded on open merit under the Shaheed Zulfikar Ali Bhutto Initiative.

Eligibility criteria include holding a Sindh CNIC, domicile, and PRC (Form-D), meeting the academic requirements for the chosen program, fulfilling Oxford University’s merit and English language requirements, and securing an unconditional offer from the University of Oxford for 2026–27. Applicants must also not be receiving any other scholarship.

The application process requires candidates to apply online through the Oxford Pakistan Programme website. Only complete applications will be considered, and shortlisted candidates may be called for interviews. The assessment will be conducted jointly by the College Education Department and the OPP Scholarship Committee.
