Divisional Commercial Officer (DCO) Railways Abdullah Arshad on Monday took action against the dining car of the Pak Business Express following an inspection over cleanliness issues.
According to a press release issued by the Divisional Superintendent Office of Pakistan Railways in Lahore, inspectors found dirty cooking oil and expired food items in the dining car. As a result, authorities imposed a penalty of Rs. 2,000.
The DCO said he took the action on the directives of Divisional Superintendent Railways Inamullah and Chief Commercial Manager Tariq Anwar Sipra.
He said authorities would make no compromise on cleanliness or the sale of substandard food items in dining cars and stalls.
He added that, under the directives of the federal minister for railways and the supervision of DS Railways Inamullah, Pakistan Railways is enforcing strict measures to ensure the provision of quality food on trains and at railway stations. He said enforcement action will continue against violators.

Such a big criminal act and a fine of only Rs.2000 ,is not at all justifiable.May be the authorities have a good relation with the Vendor of that train.
