The Islamabad Capital Territory (ICT) administration has urged residents to complete M-Tag registration without delay and announced that enforcement action against vehicles without the tag will begin on January 1.
Officials advised vehicle owners to visit the M-Tag Center at Shakarparian Parade Ground as early as possible to avoid long queues and last-minute problems. They said the days leading up to enforcement usually bring a sharp increase in visitors at registration centers.
To manage the expected rush, the administration has upgraded arrangements at the Shakarparian Parade Ground facility. Authorities have set up additional counters and deployed extra staff to speed up the registration process and reduce waiting times.
The administration said it is enforcing the M-Tag system to regulate vehicle entry and improve traffic management in the federal capital. From January 1, authorities will stop vehicles without M-Tags from entering designated areas and will take action against violators. Officials emphasized that they will allow no relaxation once enforcement begins.
Authorities urged citizens to avoid waiting until the final day, warning that heavy crowds could still cause delays despite improved facilities. They also advised vehicle owners to bring all required documents to ensure smooth processing.
