Islamabad is set to get a new five-star hotel as part of a major development package tied to the planned Islamabad Cricket Stadium.
In a special meeting at CDA Headquarters, chaired by Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi, officials decided to hire renowned international companies for the hotel’s construction. The CDA has been asked to share details of long-vacant commercial plots that can be used for the project.
The hotel will be built next to the new Islamabad Cricket Stadium, for which the PCB has already issued a tender. The purpose of the hotel is to house teams, officials, and VIPs on-site and reduce match-day traffic and security convoys
During the meeting, it was also decided that a state-of-the-art cricket stadium will be constructed in Islamabad, with Mohsin Naqvi directing authorities to finalize the stadium’s design within 10 days.
Together, the stadium and adjacent five-star hotel are being planned as a single integrated project to handle major international cricket and high-profile guests more efficiently in the federal capital.
