Bangladesh’s National Airline Gets Approval for Direct Flights to Pakistan

Pakistan has granted permission to Bangladesh’s national airline to operate direct flights between Dhaka and Karachi, sources said on Thursday.

According to sources, the Pakistan Civil Aviation Authority approved direct flight operations from Dhaka to Karachi after receiving clearance from the federal government. Following the approval, the director general of the aviation authority formally authorized the Bangladeshi airline to begin operations.

Sources said authorities have initially granted permission for the direct flights until March 30, 2026. Pakistan has also allowed the airline to use its airspace on the approved route.

CAA sources said the airline must operate strictly on designated routes within Pakistan’s airspace. Before departing from Dhaka, the airline must share complete flight details with Karachi airport authorities.

Officials said Pakistan and Bangladesh are likely to see the start of direct flight operations later this month.
