The meeting also reviewed plans to hire reputable companies for the construction of a five-star hotel in Islamabad. Officials were directed to present details of long-vacant commercial plots at the next meeting.

In addition, the participants decided to form a special team to engage a solid waste management company to improve sanitation services in the city.

Officials briefed the meeting that land has already been allocated for the headquarters of several law enforcement agencies. Proposals for a new convention center in Islamabad were also discussed.

The interior minister reiterated that anti-encroachment operations would continue without interruption and said that reclaimed land would be used strictly for public welfare projects.
