The Sindh government has cleared the creation of 8,049 new positions in the School Education and Literacy Department for the 2026 academic year as part of administrative reforms.
The government issued a formal approval letter to the Section Officer (Secondary-I) of the School Education and Literacy Department, confirming the sanctioned posts across multiple grades.
The approved strength includes senior leadership and school head positions. The breakdown consists of 44 posts of Chief Head Master or Head Mistress in BS-20, 593 posts of Senior Head Master or Head Mistress in BS-19, 1,444 posts of Head Master or Head Mistress in BS-18, and 5,968 posts of Head Master or Head Mistress in BS-17.
Officials said the decision forms part of broader reforms introduced by the Sindh Education Department to improve school leadership, administrative oversight, and academic management ahead of the new academic session in 2026.
