Samsung is expected to unveil the Galaxy S26 series on February 25 at an event in San Francisco, according to a report from Korea. The company is said to plan a market release for the Galaxy S26 lineup in March.
The standard Galaxy S26 is rumored to feature a 4,300mAh battery, which would be 300mAh larger than its predecessor. The Galaxy S26+ is said to add support for 3x zoom HDR shooting. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is expected to include a previously rumored electronically controllable privacy display designed to reduce visibility from side angles.
Chipsets and Pricing Strategy
The report claims the Galaxy S26 Ultra will use the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset globally. The Galaxy S26 and Galaxy S26+ are expected to ship with the same processor in some markets, while also using the Exynos 2600 in others.
Samsung is reportedly planning to keep pricing for the Galaxy S26 lineup unchanged from the Galaxy S25 series. The move is said to be aimed at protecting market share amid growing competition.
Foldables Planned for July
Beyond the Galaxy S26 series, Samsung is also expected to introduce new foldable devices later in the year. In July, the company is rumored to launch the Galaxy Z Fold8 and Galaxy Z Flip8.
The Galaxy Z Fold8 is said to weigh 200 grams, which would be 15 grams lighter than its predecessor. It is also expected to feature a 5,000mAh battery, representing a 600mAh increase over the Fold7.
The Galaxy Z Flip8, meanwhile, is rumored to weigh 150 grams, making it 38 grams lighter than the Flip7.
Samsung has not officially confirmed any of these details.
