With less than 15 days left before Islamabad’s extended M-Tag installation deadline ends, motorists are being urged to get their vehicles tagged to avoid fines and potential entry restrictions on key routes.
From January 15, automated tag readers will begin strictly enforcing the requirement, meaning vehicles without a valid M-Tag could be stopped or turned back at toll plazas.
To ease the rush, authorities have set up 15 registration centers across the capital, including several mobile units.
M-Tag Registration Centers in Islamabad
According to One Network, M-Tag registration is now available at the following locations in Islamabad:
| M1 Toll Plaza (Exit) | M2 Toll Plaza (Exit) | 26 Number Stop |
| Gulberg Greens | Metro Cash & Carry (I-11) | ETO (H-9) |
| Gol Market (F-7) | Parade Ground | Kachnar Park (I-8) |
| Tarlai CFC | Phulgran | F-9 Park |
| Lake View Park | Soan Gardens | Police Check Post (G-14) |
In addition to these fixed locations, the operator has deployed four mobile registration units, which are rotating through high-traffic areas to handle last-minute demand.
Officials are advising drivers not to wait until the final days, warning that long queues are expected as the deadline nears. Motorists can contact the helpline 1313 for further information on timings and documentation required for M-Tag issuance.

I appeal to concern authorities that in public interest and easeness this m.tag facility should be online or thtough ICT APP availble for applying new and also recharging balance.
