OZ Developers has secured ownership of the Pakistan Super League’s eighth franchise after submitting the highest bid in the auction process.
The new owners have confirmed that Team 8 will be from Sialkot.
The company made a winning offer of Rs. 185 crore for Team 8. The bid surpassed the base price of Rs. 170 crore set by league officials.
The auction reflects strong commercial demand for PSL franchises. It follows the recent sale of Team 7, which also attracted competitive bidding.
League officials view the result as another signal of the PSL’s rising market value. Higher franchise prices point to growing confidence in the league’s long term revenue potential.
The addition of an eighth team further expands the footprint of the Pakistan Super League. Details regarding the new team’s city, name, and branding are expected to be announced at a later stage.
