A Member of the National Assembly (MNA) was robbed during a public event in Multan.
According to police, MNA NA-151 Syed Ali Musa Gillani was attending a kabaddi match as the chief guest in Basti Chapra Wala when the incident took place. During the match, unknown thieves stole a valuable mobile phone from his pocket and fled the scene.
Police officials said officers from Budhla Sant Police Station arrived at the location immediately and launched an investigation.
A case of mobile phone theft was registered at Budhla Sant Police Station under case number 9/26, with Syed Ali Musa Gillani named as the complainant.
Police later arrested the suspect involved in the theft and recovered the stolen mobile phone from the accused.
Syed Ali Musa Gillani belongs to one of Pakistan’s most prominent political families. The Gilani brothers, Ali Musa Gillani, Abdul Qadir Gilani, and Qasim Gilani, are all members of the National Assembly, while another brother, Ali Haider Gilani, is a Member of the Punjab Assembly (MPA).
They are the sons of former Prime Minister and current Senate Chairman Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani.
