PSL 11 Draft Date Revealed Reportedly

The 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11) draft is expected to take place in the last week of January, with insiders suggesting it will be scheduled during the Pakistan vs Australia T20 series.

According to inside information, the draft is most likely to be held in Islamabad on January 30, though an official announcement from the league is still awaited.

If confirmed, the timing would allow franchises to lock in their squads soon after the international window, giving teams a clearer runway for planning combinations, overseas availability, and retention strategies ahead of the 2026 season.

PSL 11 will also be the first season featuring eight franchises, following the league’s expansion with Hyderabad and Sialkot joining the tournament from 2026.

The move has been widely viewed as a strong signal of investor confidence in the PSL’s future, particularly as franchise rights for the two new teams were secured for Rs. 1.75 billion (Hyderabad) and Rs. 1.85 billion (Sialkot).

The league has also been riding a surge in digital momentum. PSL 10 reportedly posted massive online growth, with streaming audiences jumping sharply early in the season, strengthening the PSL’s case as a fast-growing product in the global cricket market, even as it continues to chase the financial scale of bigger leagues like the IPL.
