The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has forwarded a proposed schedule for Australia’s T20 International tour of Pakistan to Cricket Australia.
According to the sources, the PCB has shared two draft schedules for a three-match T20I series between Pakistan and Australia.
The proposed plans suggest that the Australian team could arrive in Pakistan on January 26 or 27, with departure scheduled for February 2 or 3.
It is further understood that the fixtures have been proposed for January 29 and 31, while the third and final T20I is expected to be played on February 1. All matches are likely to be staged in Lahore.
As per the draft schedule, two of the three matches are likely to be played over the weekend.
Historically, Pakistan and Australia have faced each other 28 times in T20 Internationals. Australia have won 14 matches, while Pakistan have claimed 12 victories. One match ended in a tie, while another produced no result.
Meanwhile, Pakistan is currently involved in their first international assignment of the year, facing Sri Lanka in a three-match T20I series.
The series begins today at the Rangiri Dambulla International Cricket Stadium (RDICS) in Dambulla. The second and third T20Is will also be played at the same venue on January 9 and 11, respectively.
The Sri Lanka series holds added importance as a key preparation ahead of the T20 World Cup, which is scheduled to take place from February 7 to March 8.
