WALEE Technologies Group CEO Emphasises Long-Term Vision for Pakistan’s Sports Ecosystem

WALEE Technologies Group has issued an official statement following the conclusion of the Pakistan Super League (PSL) franchise bidding process, reflecting on its participation and outlining its continued commitment to sports, technology, and youth development in Pakistan.

The Group described the PSL bidding journey as an inspiring and meaningful experience. While the company’s bid was ultimately unsuccessful, WALEE Technologies expressed pride in the vision, creativity, and strategic thinking demonstrated by its team throughout the process.

According to the company, the bid was driven by a broader purpose beyond franchise ownership. WALEE Technologies viewed the opportunity as a way to contribute to a sport that unites millions of Pakistanis and represents the nation’s resilience and passion.

The proposal was centred on the belief that the integration of technology and sports can transform fan experiences, nurture emerging talent, and promote inclusivity across the cricketing ecosystem. Although the Group will not be joining the PSL as a franchise owner this season, it reaffirmed that its commitment to these objectives remains unchanged.

WALEE Technologies congratulated the successful bidders and extended best wishes to the new franchise owners. The company acknowledged the PSL’s ongoing role in elevating Pakistan’s global cricketing profile and expressed confidence that the addition of new teams will further enhance the league’s excitement and value.

Commenting on the league’s significance, Group CEO Ahsan Tahir stated that, given the company’s deep connection to cricket and passion for the sport, the Pakistan Super League represents the past, present, and future of sports entertainment in the country.

Looking ahead, WALEE Technologies emphasised that this moment marks a stepping stone rather than a conclusion. The Group plans to continue exploring opportunities to support sports, technology, and youth development through initiatives such as grassroots programmes, digital fan engagement, and strategic partnerships.

The company reiterated that its dedication to innovation and community building remains stronger than ever, as it continues to contribute meaningfully to Pakistan’s evolving sports and digital landscape.
