The district administration sealed three indoor sheesha cafes at Bahria Town’s Civic Center, Sohan, as part of an ongoing crackdown against illegal indoor sheesha activities in the federal capital.
Assistant Commissioner Nilore Fahad Shabbir Cheema led the operation and inspected cafes with his team to check compliance with government regulations.
Officials found three establishments offering indoor sheesha services, which are banned under existing laws, and sealed them on the spot.
Authorities stated that the action aimed to enforce government directives and prevent violations of the notified rules. The administration reiterated that providing indoor sheesha facilities in enclosed spaces is strictly prohibited.
The district administration warned cafe owners to comply with the law, cautioning that repeated violations could lead to stricter action, including permanent closure.
Residents welcomed the move and urged authorities to maintain regular monitoring to stop sealed cafes from reopening illegally. Officials stated that the operation is part of a broader campaign that will continue across Islamabad in the coming days.
