Punjab has expanded its green public transport drive with the launch of electric bus services in Bahawalpur under Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz’s Transport Vision 2030.
The Bahawalpur service will operate on multiple routes across the city:

The programme also includes free travel for students and senior citizens, according to the official announcement shared for the Bahawalpur rollout.
Punjab’s electric bus plan has been steadily spreading beyond Lahore, with the provincial government previously stating that the service was being prepared for additional districts and that fleets had reached multiple cities ahead of launch, including Rawalpindi, Chakwal, Jhelum, Gujar Khan, Toba Tek Singh, Jhang, Bahawalnagar, Rahim Yar Khan, and Rajanpur.
