The federal government has decided to print newly designed currency notes following formal go-ahead by the federal cabinet.
Fresh designs will be introduced for banknotes of Rs. 100, Rs. 500, Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 5,000 denominations. The decision was taken at a cabinet meeting chaired by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif at the Prime Minister’s House on Wednesday.
The new notes are being developed in line with modern international standards, with global experts engaged in the design process. The redesigned notes will include enhanced security threads to strengthen protection against counterfeiting.
The artwork will highlight Pakistan’s regional and geographical diversity as well as its historical landmarks. Themes such as women’s contribution to national development and climate change will also be incorporated.
To further review the proposed currency notes before their final rollout, the cabinet approved the formation of a special cabinet committee.
During the meeting, the cabinet directed that the draft Private Hajj Policy 2027–2030 be referred back to the Hajj Policy Committee for further consideration. The draft covers the registration and third-party verification of private Hajj operator companies.
The cabinet also ratified decisions taken by the Cabinet Committee on Energy in its meeting held on December 24, 2025, and by the Economic Coordination Committee in its meeting on December 23, 2025.

This was already print on old currency.

Plz 5000 note should not be issue in new currency not design next in coming time .
If we will mot issue this then our currency will be Well.
Only on 5000 note should be removed from country

Where is the Basic One Rupee Note? It should never be avoided. Govt
promises payment for something which does not exist. Is it not funny
