Jazz Accelerates Network Evolution with Country’s First 1.2 Tbps Deployment and 100 Gbps FTTS Implementation

Jazz, Pakistan’s leading connectivity provider from JazzWorld, has achieved a significant milestone in its network modernization journey with the successful deployment of the country’s first 1.2 terabits per second (Tbps) per-wavelength capacity on its optical transport network, in collaboration with its strategic technology partner, Huawei.

This landmark achievement highlights Jazz’s unwavering commitment to building a high-capacity, resilient, and future-ready digital infrastructure, designed to support next-generation services, exponential data growth, and evolving enterprise and consumer demands across Pakistan.

In another industry-first achievement, Jazz has successfully implemented Pakistan’s first-ever deployment of 100 Gbps on Fiber-to-the-Site (FTTS) ring. This landmark implementation demonstrates Jazz’s leadership in advancing optical access networks, enabling ultra-high-speed connectivity for enterprise services, mobile backhaul, and next-generation digital applications.

The 1.2 Tbps per wavelength deployment significantly enhances Jazz’s core and aggregation network layers, ensuring seamless scalability to support rapid growth in data consumption, cloud services, 5G evolution, and hyperscale traffic. Meanwhile, the 100 Gbps FTTS deployment strengthens the performance, capacity, and resilience of the last-mile Fiber infrastructure.

Commenting on the achievement, Khalid Shehzad, Chief Technology Officer of JazzWorld, said: “The deployment of Pakistan’s first 1.2 Tbps per wavelength on our optical network, together with the country’s first-ever 100 Gbps deployment on FTTS ring, represents two major technological milestones for Jazz. These achievements highlight the strength and scalability of our network architecture, enabling us to efficiently support future technologies, rapidly increasing traffic volumes, and demanding enterprise use cases, while maintaining the highest standards of reliability and performance.”

These milestones reflect Jazz’s long-term commitment to building a world-class digital infrastructure for Pakistan. By continuously strengthening our network, we are enabling innovation, accelerating digital inclusion, and supporting the country’s evolving connectivity needs.”

These advancements reaffirm Jazz’s leadership in network modernization and its focus on adopting cutting-edge optical and transport technologies. By continuously upgrading its infrastructure, Jazz remains well-positioned to support Pakistan’s digital transformation and the growing demand for high-speed, reliable connectivity.

  • JAZZ is a very useless service like Telenor because it does not work at all in Regi Model Town and other areas of Peshawar, its network signals do not come, so even though I and others have its SIM, we do not put it in our mobile phones، therefore we request the concerned authority and high-ups of JAZZ to look into the matter solve this problem by increasing your towers.

  • Pretty Useless Network. Fake Okla Speed. Disconnect again and again. Location Besham Shangla KPK.

  • Jazz have one town near my village but it remains off during load shadding. If load shadding is for 12 hours, we are out of any service for same time. Bhooki nangi company can’t afford fuel.

  • The Pakistan map is completely wrong next include jamu Kashmir and junagarh in the map cause these are the official parts of Pakistan!! 🤬🤬🤬😡😡😡

  • These companies should focus on providing a normal and efficient and a “working” service.
Who needs a fast service if it doesn’t work 12 hours of the day?

  • Well, things on the ground are different. Jazz have zero connectivity during load sheddings. They don’t even care to start their generator in Charsadda. Despite our complaints no service since long. We a family of 5 connections along with many friends are planning to port to some other network. Soon Jazz will regret it.

  • Konsi acceleration. Kameenay Jazz walay and all other cellular operators. Internet services shut down as soon as light goes off. What are you talking about 1Tbps and 100 Tbps. All is shit. These companies have silently started doing this shit practices. Poor services.
I am going to complain to Federal Mohtasib.
You guys should also do. Phir in k kaan khenchay jayn gay kuttay kameenoon k.
