Peugeot was launched in Pakistan in 2022 through Lucky Motor Corporation (LMC), marking the French automotive brand’s entry into the local market at a time when consumer demand was increasingly shifting toward SUVs.
Since launch, Peugeot’s local portfolio has centered on the Peugeot 2008, which remains Pakistan’s only locally assembled European SUV. The model is produced at LMC’s modern manufacturing facility, which includes a Dürr-supplied robotic paint shop – technology used by global OEMs – enabling consistently high-quality paint finish in Pakistan. Recent updates to local production have also introduced new exterior colours, including Selenium Grey, aligned with global offerings.
Positioned in the compact B-SUV segment, the Peugeot 2008 competes in one of the fastest-growing categories in the market. The model combines European design cues, efficiency, and a strong feature set, targeting urban buyers seeking a balance between practicality and premium appeal.
Since its launch, LMC has continued to build the Peugeot business through localized assembly, dealer network development, and ongoing product enhancements. This approach has allowed the brand to establish a steady presence while adapting to market conditions.
Most recently, LMC invested in the introduction of the 2025 Peugeot 2008 facelift, bringing the locally assembled model in line with Peugeot’s latest global updates. The facelift rollout, which also included the launch of new global colours such as Selenium Grey, reflects a longer-term product and brand roadmap.
Industry sources indicate that LMC is also evaluating opportunities to expand its local portfolio with additional Stellantis models and brands, subject to regulatory frameworks and market dynamics. While no formal announcements have been made, the evaluation underscores a measured approach to future growth.
Despite broader challenges facing the auto sector, LMC remains optimistic about Pakistan’s automotive market. Rising SUV preference, evolving consumer expectations, and gradual infrastructure development continue to shape opportunity in the segment.

LMC has not launched any product of Peugeot after 2008, they should consider to introduce the number of cars for mass-public rather than specific niche sector
