Gold prices in Pakistan rose sharply on Wednesday, in line with massive gains in the international market.
In the local market, the price of gold per tola climbed to Rs. 506,362 after increasing by Rs. 12,700 during the day.
Similarly, 10-gram gold was sold at Rs. 434,123, up Rs. 10,888, according to rates released by the All-Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association (APGJSA).
On Tuesday, gold per tola had settled at Rs. 493,662, posting a gain of Rs. 4,300 in a single session.
In the international market, gold prices jumped by $127 to reach $4,840 per ounce, including a premium of $20.
Meanwhile, silver prices also edged higher, rising Rs. 64 to Rs. 9,933 per tola.
