Two Investors Submit Offer to Take Over Escorts Investment Bank

Kamran Malik and Sheikh Ali Baakza through their manager to the offer AKD Securities Limited have announced their intention to acquire up to 6.02 percent of the issued ordinary shares of Escorts Investment Bank Limited through a public offer, subject to regulatory approvals from the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP).

The proposed transaction is part of the acquirers’ plan that includes a share purchase agreement for an 87.96% stake in the bank, alongside the public offer aimed at acquiring shares from minority shareholders.

The acquirers stated that completion of the transaction is conditional upon obtaining all required regulatory and corporate approvals, including consent from the SECP and the board of directors of Escorts Investment Bank. The public offer may be withdrawn if the necessary approvals are not secured.

Escorts Investment Bank, listed since 1996, has a paid-up capital of 135.6 million ordinary shares. As of June 30, 2025, Bahria Town (Private) Limited remained the dominant shareholder with an 87.96 percent stake.
