Punjab School Heads Await Allowances After Passing Merit Test

It has been revealed that 1,084 school heads, appointed after passing the provincial test, have not received their charge allowance.

School heads are entitled to a monthly allowance of Rs 1,200, but four months have passed without payment, despite their performing their duties.

In Lahore, 135 merit-based test passers were appointed as heads, but their leave and conveyance allowances have also been withheld.

School principals have complained that the AG Office does not recognize them as heads for allowance purposes.

The heads have urged Provincial Education Minister Rana Sikandar Hayat to take notice of the matter.
