A Safe City spokesperson has confirmed that official e-challan SMS notifications will now come from 9915.
Earlier, SMS messages were sent from the government number 8070. The Safe City Authority does not send messages from any number other than 9915.
Citizens are advised not to make any payments through suspicious SMS messages or websites.
The spokesperson also clarified that Safe City never requests payment, account details, or bank information. Citizens are warned not to click on links in fraudulent e-challan SMS messages.
