Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced a 48-hour suspension of gas supply for the industrial sector and CNG stations, as the utility moves to ensure better pressure for domestic and commercial users during peak winter demand.
According to SSGC, the shutdown will begin at 8:00 AM on January 24 and remain in effect until 8:00 AM on January 26.
In its update, the company said gas supply will be halted for all industrial consumers, including captive power plants, and all CNG stations, including those running on RLNG.
SSGC said the temporary suspension is intended to help maintain maximum possible gas pressure for households and commercial consumers, noting that demand typically spikes sharply during the winter season.
The utility has advised domestic consumers facing low gas pressure to reach out via its 24/7 helpline at 1199, adding that complaint-handling teams are on alert to address issues quickly.
SSGC also confirmed that the routine load management schedule for residential and commercial consumers will continue as usual, with gas pressure management expected daily from 10:00 PM to 5:00 AM.
