The Pakistani rupee (PKR) closed in green against the US Dollar (USD) for the 88th consecutive day on Tuesday.
Meanwhile, it posted gains against most of the other major currencies during today’s session.
The PKR closed at 279.82 after gaining two paisas against the US Dollar today.
Other Currencies
The PKR was green against most of the other major currencies in the interbank market today. Recoveries also came after the market observed the central bank advising caution over the country’s future economic outlook. It also kept the benchmark interest rate unchanged despite expectations of a further reduction.
It ended on a positive note against the UAE Dirham (AED) and also closed in green against the Saudi Riyal (SAR).

It lost 47 paisas against GBP, and 45 paisas against the Euro (EUR).
It gained two paisas against the Australian Dollar (AUD).
