Dubai to Build World’s First Fully Robotic Residential Villa

Dubai Municipality has announced plans to construct the world’s first residential villa built entirely using robotic construction systems, a project combining local and international expertise.

The initiative will be executed by a consortium of over 25 technology companies and academic institutions, led by Dubai Municipality in partnership with Zacua Ventures and the Würth Group, along with specialised construction robotics firms and local contractors.

The announcement coincided with the activation of the Construction Innovation and Research Centre (04 ConTech Valley) at Expo City Dubai.

The centre will focus on next-generation construction solutions, urban systems, and future city infrastructure.

During the event, Dubai Municipality also unveiled the Global ConTech Report, highlighting the rapid growth of construction technologies.

The report forecasts global sector investments exceeding $30 billion by 2033, driven by labour shortages and the adoption of AI, robotics, prefabrication, and infrastructure tech.

Dubai also launched the 70–70 Strategy for 2030 with Sobha Realty, aiming to shift 70% of construction to off-site manufacturing and achieve 70% factory automation to boost efficiency, quality, and sustainability.

Additionally, the China State Construction Engineering Corporation received accreditation for its modular construction system, while AMANA will adopt modular systems to develop shared youth workspaces in public facilities.

Dubai’s initiative marks a major milestone in smart construction, positioning the emirate as a global hub for innovative, automated, and sustainable building solutions.
