The minister directed NHA to immediately begin construction of the Sialkot–Kartarpur Motorway, noting that starting the project from Sialkot will also benefit surrounding cities.

Modern Facilities Along the Route

Aleem Khan said the expressway will feature modern infrastructure, including three-star, four-star, and five-star hotels. He also instructed authorities to develop world-class rest areas and modern shopping malls along the route to enhance the travel experience.

Global Promotion and Investment Drive

The minister announced plans to promote the project internationally. Advertisements will be launched in London, Canada, and the United States to attract overseas Sikh investors. He also directed NHA to include Sikh holy sites in international roadshows to encourage religious tourism and foreign investment.

Economic Boost for Nearby Cities

The Sialkot–Kartarpur Motorway will also improve connectivity for cities such as Narang Mandi and Bado Malhi, creating new economic opportunities for residents.

Calling the project a game changer, Abdul Aleem Khan said the Kartarpur and Nankana Sahib motorway initiative will transform Pakistan’s religious tourism infrastructure. He stressed that NHA must maintain the highest construction standards to ensure long-term benefits.
