Sialkot Stallionz have officially announced former Australia captain Tim Paine as their head coach for the 2026 Pakistan Super League (PSL 11), confirming the speculation that had been building around the franchise’s big coaching reveal.
Co-owner Kamil Khan had earlier teased the appointment on social media, saying the announcement would drop at 8:00 PM and hinting that the new head coach was a former Australian captain. The Stallionz have now confirmed it’s Paine, making it one of the headline coaching moves ahead of PSL 11.

The appointment signals a clear direction from the Stallionz management, who appear to be prioritizing long-term team building rather than short-term fixes. With PSL franchises investing more in structure, planning, and performance standards, Paine’s arrival fits the league’s growing trend of strengthening backroom leadership.
Paine brings a mix of international leadership and recent coaching exposure, having worked in the Big Bash League and previously serving as head coach of Adelaide Strikers, where his role focused heavily on preparation, discipline, and managing players through the demands of a tournament schedule.
As Australia’s former captain, Paine is also known for pushing strong dressing-room culture and clear on-field roles, qualities the Stallionz will be hoping translate into consistent performances in PSL conditions.
With the head coach now confirmed, attention will shift to how Sialkot Stallionz build out the rest of their staff and squad plans heading into PSL 11.
